Federal law establishes public holidays for federal employees, including Thanksgiving
Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. These holidays are celebrated through closure of the
United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Christmas Day will be observed on Monday, December 25, 2023. In extended observance
of this holiday, the court’s offices will be closed on Friday, December 22, 2023, and on Tuesday,
December 26, 2023.

New Year’s Day will be observed on Monday, January 1, 2024. Beginning on Tuesday,
January 2, 2023, the court will resume normal business hours.
