Fourth Circuit Notice of Amendment to Standing Order 20-01

Thursday, April 16, 2020

The Fourth Circuit recently adopted a standing order permitting publication of opinions (with the unanimous consent of the panel) in cases that were calendared for argument in March or April but not presented at oral argument, following cancellation of those argument sessions due to the coronavirus.  The court subsequently extended the standing order to cases that were tentatively calendared for argument in May prior to cancellation of that argument session.
