Student Internship Program

Internships are available in the Clerk’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina for college students at the university and community college level. Student interns primarily assist in the operations department. Duties include docketing proofs of claims, opening the mail and any projects that are ongoing during the time of the internship.

In order for the intern to gain an understanding of all court operations, job shadowing will be provided with the following court personnel: Financial Specialist, Property and Procurement Specialist, Administrative Specialist, Information Technology staff and Operations Analyst. Additionally, the intern will attend creditors meetings and court hearings.
