Reappointment of Incumbent Bankruptcy

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

The current term of the United States Bankruptcy Administrator in the Eastern District of North Carolina, Marjorie K. Lynch, is due to expire on May 2, 2017.  The Regulations of the Judicial Conference of the United States Governing the Bankruptcy Administrator Program authorize the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit to establish a review committee to consider whether the incumbent bankruptcy administrator should be reappointed to a new five year term.

Bankruptcy administrators are responsible for supervising trustees and debtors-in-possession to ensure they administer the district’s bankruptcy estates effectively.

Comments from members of the bar and the public are invited on whether the committee should recommend that the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit should reappoint the incumbent bankruptcy administrator.  Those comments should be sent to Samuel W. Phillips, Circuit Executive, 1100 East Main Street, Suite 617, Richmond, Virginia  23219-3517.

Written comments must be received at the above address no later than February 11, 2017.
