Welcome |
Welcome to the on-line CM/ECF attorney manual for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of North Carolina. This manual is intended to provide information concerning electronically filing documents with the court.
Method 1 - Search
Directly above this window is a search field. Typing anything in that field and pressing enter will result in every document within this manual appearing in the window to the left. It is the fastest way to locate information.
Method 2 - Contents
To the left of this window is a table of contents. In order to access any section on the table of contents, simply click on the topic of your choice. The main application window will be refreshed with the requested information. This method is better for logical searches. For example: Clicking Case Openings will give you all things relating to opening a bankruptcy case.
Method 3 - Index
Much like the search field, you can use the index to search for specific words and phrases within the topics. This is probably the most powerful, yet least used method for locating topics and information.
Items listed in Green are menu choices, buttons, or items you will actually click within CM/ECF during the docketing process.
